Job summary

MetroPlusHealth seeks an enrollment specialist to educate New Yorkers about QHPs, Medicaid, and Child Health Plus through the NY State of Health Marketplace. You will assist applicants, explain eligibility and tax credits, and manage document submission processes.

The role involves public speaking, presentations, and evening/weekend availability to support enrollment drives and community outreach within a dynamic health plan environment.

Qualifications

• Experience educating consumers on health insurance options.
• Familiarity with NY State of Health Marketplace processes.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist individuals applying for coverage through the NY State of Health Marketplace in QHPs and Medicaid/CHIP.
• Assist consumers with contacting NY State of Health Customer Services for enrollment support.
• Conduct public education activities to raise awareness of available QHPs.
• Explain eligibility for governmental programs and tax credits; outline cost-sharing and tier differences.
• Conduct presentations and ACA forums; assist with document submission via scan, fax, or mail.
• Assist existing members with recertification and premium payments when required.
• Maintain confidential information per privacy standards and meet MFE recertification requirements.
• Keep leads and enrollment data updated in the MetroPlusHealth portal.
