The Valley Health System-Ridgewood is seeking a dedicated data entry and records scanning specialist to convert paper medical records into electronic format. You will operate high production scanners, perform data entry, and secure missing documentation for accurate indexing into the permanent health record.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced HIM environment are essential.

• Completion of clerical test required.
• Ability to interact courteously and effectively with Medical Staff, peers and supervisors, and other internal and external customers.
• Detail-focused with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to analyze and set priorities; make important decisions in HIM processes.

• Convert paper medical records into electronic format.
• Perform data entry and scan documents with high production scanners.
• Follow up to secure missing documentation in paper or electronic form.
