The Health Information Management Assistant at Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home Company Inc. supports the HIM team with administrative duties, data collection and submission, and daily medical record processes.

Ideal candidates have strong Excel/Word skills, attention to detail, and a flexible approach to daily tasks. ICD-10 experience is helpful but not required; MDS knowledge is a plus. This full-time role is on-site at our Western New York campus, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Audit the medical record—current and discharge charts.
• Log Physician Progress notes into Excel.
• Daily correspondence to Primary MD of discharge patients.
• Log Physician visits into the database.
• Daily Census data entry.
• Attention to detail is essential; ICD-10 and MDS knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Audit the medical record—current and discharge chart.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely data entry.
• Support overall processes of the medical record department.
