Via Linda Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the Scottsdale, Arizona population and the greater Phoenix region. Our 120-bed facility provides specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults, and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and co-occurring addictions. We are seeking a Health Information Management/Release of Information Specialist to join our growing team!
The HIM/ROI Specialist is responsible for assembling and analyzing medical records in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. They perform audits following federal rules and regulations and process requests for patient health information. This role is an active member of the HIM team and assists with other tasks and clerical duties.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from a medical records program is preferred.
Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in healthcare information management required. Previous behavioral health experience is preferred.
