SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Medical Records Assistant 2 within the Department of Health Information Management in New York. The role involves handling medical records, scanning documents, assembling charts, and ensuring HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year in Health Information Management, familiarity with HIPAA, and strong communication skills. A High School Diploma is required; an Associate Degree is preferred.

Mansioni

• Prepare and scan medical records for the Alpha system.
• Assemble inpatient and outpatient charts and ensure patient identifiers on each page.
• Cross-train across Health Information Management functions and support special projects.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from attorneys, auditors, or hospital staff and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
