Qualifications

• Associate degree in health information management is required; bachelor's preferred.
• RHIT/RHIA credential or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Minimum 3 years in health information management, release of information, or privacy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process and triage all PHI requests including subpoenas and court orders.
• Verify legal sufficiency and apply state/federal privacy rules.
• Maintain Certificates of Authenticity and coordinate records productions.
• Track deadlines and ensure timely, accurate disclosures.
• Maintain logs and support records governance and retention.
