Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health information management, health informatics, or related field.
• RHIA or RHIT certification from AHIMA.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in HIM management.
• Experience with implementing an EHR and leading multi-facility teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and manage HIM department activities, workload, and projects.
• Develop policies for standardized, controlled use of medical information.
• Ensure compliance with internal/external standards and Joint Commission.
• Prepare statistical reports and analyze data for corrective actions.
• Manage staff including hiring, scheduling, evaluation, and training.
• Develop and monitor operating goals, objectives, and budget.
• Represent the department in meetings as requested.
