Hybrid role based in Kansas City, MO; you will lead staff, monitor KPIs, drive process improvements, and collaborate with clinical, coding, compliance, legal, and IT teams to promote quality and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HIM, Health Informatics, or related field.
• RHIA or RHIT credential preferred.
• 5+ years HIM experience including supervisory/management.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, ROI, auditing, and EHR systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HIM, medical records, auditing, and ROI operations.
• Ensure HIPAA/HITECH/CMS compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Lead, train, and evaluate HIM/ROI staff.

Health Information Management (HIM) Operations Manager- Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced HIM Operations Manager to oversee daily Health Information Management operations, including medical records, auditing, Release of Information (ROI), EHR workflows, and regulatory compliance. This role will ensure the accuracy, security, and timely management of patient health information while leading process improvement and quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage HIM, medical records, auditing, and ROI operations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, Joint Commission, and applicable state regulations.
• Lead, train, and evaluate HIM/ROI staff.
• Monitor quality, productivity, KPIs, medical record integrity, and ROI turnaround times.
• Collaborate with clinical, coding, compliance, legal, revenue cycle, and IT teams.
• Support audits, legal requests, subpoenas, breach investigations, and record retention.
• Drive process improvements and promote quality, accountability, and service excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in HIM, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Active RHIA or RHIT credential.
• 5+ years of HIM experience, including supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, ROI, auditing, and EHR systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; no weekends, holidays, or on-call.

Compensation:

$66,300–$104,800 annually.
