Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Health Information Management professional to organize and maintain health information systems across the primary care continuum.

The role requires RHIT credentials and 2+ years' HIM management experience, with HIPAA and privacy standards knowledge. You will coordinate release of PHI, supervise dictation workflows, and collaborate with Finance to protect revenue cycles. Training staff on policy changes is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with RHIT credential required.
• At least 2 years of experience managing HIM functions.
• Coding credentials (CCS/CCS-P/CPC) preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, DMH, JC and Medicaid/Medicare standards.
• Experience with health information systems and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Organize, coordinate, and maintain health information systems across the primary care continuum.
• Ensure compliance with health information privacy laws and regulations.
• Coordinate release of protected health information per policy.
• Coordinate dictation, transcription, and revenue cycle activities with Finance.
• Oversee administrative review to meet DMH standards.
• Provide training on policy updates to staff.
