Job summary

Optum Advisory Services, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Health Informatics Manager to lead the implementation and optimization of clinical and AI-enabled solutions. Primarily remote within the U.S., with in-office requirements for Minneapolis or Washington, D.C.-area hires four days a week.

You will manage complex projects, mentor teams, and partner with governance and leadership to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes across Epic/Oracle Health EHR environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of health informatics experience leveraging data to drive outcomes and efficiencies.
• 2+ years working with EHRs/clinical solutions (Epic or Oracle Health) to optimize projects.
• 1+ year of team lead or people management experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced agile environment managing multiple projects and remote teams.
• Proficiency with project-management tools (Smartsheet/Visio/Project).
• Ability to travel up to 50% annually (as needed).

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and optimization of clinical, EHR-integrated, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Develop and manage project plans with scope, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and executives to align expectations and communications from discovery through implementation.
• Identify workflow and technology improvement opportunities using data and clinician feedback.
• Document current and future-state workflows with governance and risk considerations.
• Mentor informatics team members and drive continuous improvement across projects.
