  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Public Administration, English, Communications, or related field.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in public health, public administration, or business management.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates, plans, develops, and/or directs the technical and administrative phases of a special project; ensures accuracy and completion of project work in a timely manner; ensures compliance with established rules, policies, and procedures regarding the same.
  • Edits reports and special publications; assists in the preparation of the same and ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Prepares grant budget requests; assists with grant application for existing grants.
  • Assists in coordinating and preparing new state or private foundation grants.
  • Assists the Budget & Grant Manager in developing agency programs (i.e. budgets, objectives, and drafting of special documents).
  • Gathers and maintains accurate and complete files on local, state, and federal statistics related to health; provides information to staff and outside agencies.
  • Assists in planning and carrying out departmental policies and activities, and in interpreting local, state, and federal standards and regulations; ensures employees are well-informed.
  • Assists in monitoring departmental objectives to determine progress; evaluates performance and recommends changes or modifications; participates as member of monitoring team.
  • Assists in maintaining good communication between staff, visitors and other business contacts.
