Job summary

City of Laredo is seeking a Grants Coordinator in the Economic Development Department to identify, develop, and manage grant funding opportunities supporting the city's growth priorities.

You will coordinate all aspects of grant development, including research, proposal preparation, compliance monitoring, and postaward reporting, working with internal departments and external partners to secure resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in grant writing, grant administration, research, or project management.
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify federal, state, and private grant opportunities aligned with economic development priorities.
• Develop, write, and submit competitive grant proposals with compliance to guidelines and deadlines.
• Coordinate with City departments and external partners to collect data and supporting documents for applications.
• Monitor grants to ensure compliance and prepare required reporting and recordkeeping.
