Health Fitness Manager

STGi is currently seeking a Health Fitness Manager to support our Wellness and Health Promotion Services contract with Federal Occupational Health.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Service Operations
   • Manage daily operations of the facility, including site hours, onboarding, orientations, group classes, equipment maintenance, and programming.
   • Manage staff, including scheduling, performance reviews, and task delegation.
   • Develop and manage group fitness schedules and programming.
   • Develop fitness-related materials and submit reports on membership, utilization, and maintenance.
   • Maintain budgets, documentation, certifications, equipment logs, and safety protocols.
   • Respond to medical emergencies, perform CPR/AED, and report incidents.
   • Develop exercise programs, oversee participant safety, and interpret data for program improvements.
   • Support staff orientation and adhere to agency directives.
2. Administrative (Business/Management)
   • Maintain punctuality, request leave timely, and follow telework policies.
   • Foster a professional environment and report any productivity or hardware issues.
3. Technology
   • Utilize IT systems, complete mandatory training, and report technical needs.
4. Strategy and Customer Service
   • Respond professionally to customer inquiries and escalate issues as needed.
5. Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee Fitness Center Staff and Instructors.

Required Skills:

• Highly organized, effective delegator, excellent communicator.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Physical ability to perform CPR, respond to emergencies, instruct, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform related tasks.

Required Experience and Education:

• At least 1 year of management in a fitness or health setting, with supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in exercise science, wellness, or healthcare.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Nationally certified in group fitness or personal training preferred.

Pay rate: starting at $25/hour
