Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Research Program Director to oversee administrative, operational, and business aspects of department research projects. You will collaborate with Principal Investigators, Community Partners, and Community Scientists to review grants, negotiate trials, manage budgets and HR, and ensure findings reach underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with health care teams, community partners, and other groups to plan and deliver optimal unit operations.
• Establishes goals and evaluates projects through a health equity lens.
• Prepares grants, IRB paperwork, financial activity and contracts.
• Facilitates timely and proactive decision making.
• Manages resources to support ongoing research projects.
• Implements quality improvement activities per policies.
• Oversees human resources including recruitment and mentorship of Community Scientists.
• Disseminates research findings to community partners in accessible formats.
