Job summary

The San Diego LGBT Community Center seeks a Health Equity Program Coordinator to lead a California Endowment-funded initiative. You will bridge Communications & Marketing with Community Organizing, coordinating a regional convening and producing a national toolkit.

You will build trust with grassroots partners, healthcare institutions, and community leaders while translating health priorities into institutional changes. This is a grant-funded, full-time role requiring strong collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in communications, marketing, community organizing, or program coordination.
• Experience planning events, convenings, or large meetings with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication for digital, print, and LGBTQ+ audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate a multi-day regional healthcare convening for ~100 participants.
• Cultivate relationships with grassroots orgs, FQHCs, hospital systems, and advocates.
• Co-design convening programming centered on trans leadership and aging LGBTQ+ needs.
• Write and design communications materials aligning with brand guidelines.
• Support toolkit development and national distribution; track engagement and outcomes.
