Job summary

AccessHealth seeks an Outreach & Eligibility Coordinator to provide fair, impartial, and accurate information that helps consumers submit eligibility applications for healthcare programs based on qualifying criteria.

The coordinator will attend events to inform the community about program availability and encourage participation, serving as a resource to patients and underserved communities in the health insurance market.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Application Counselor, or able to become one post hire date.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Texas Medicaid and CHIP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide application assistance and facilitate enrollment in eligible health coverage programs or services.
• Maintain knowledge of eligibility, enrollment, and program specifications.
• Participate in outreach events to promote health coverage programs and encourage enrollment.
• Use reports and data to contact clients for renewals.
• Link clients to AccessHealth services or external resources.
• Educate stakeholders about affordable insurance through multiple programs.
• Protect consumer personal information and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in meetings and trainings; comply with policies and requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
