Job summary

The Elevance Health Companies, Inc. is seeking an Outreach Specialist I to engage with members and providers in a field-based role, visiting client sites and coordinating care access. The position emphasizes responsive service, collaboration with community partners, and direct member support.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries about benefits, providing timely resolutions, and conducting member orientations, with a hybrid/field-work structure and occasional office meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service, preferably in a managed care environment, medical office, or health insurance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for virtual and in-person interactions.
• Ability to multi-task and handle various inquiries in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Responds to telephone, written, and in-person inquiries and assists with benefits, policies, and procedures.
• Provides timely resolution of inquiries regarding benefits, services and policies.
• Supports and promotes State Sponsored Programs through community events.
• Represents State Sponsored Programs in community collaborations.
• Supports member access to care through home visits and distribution of collateral materials.
• Performs new member orientations.
