Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Maryland is seeking a Health Center Manager to oversee daily operations at the Owings Mills center, guiding a team of 5–10 staff to deliver affordable, high‑quality care with excellent customer service.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, you will manage scheduling, cash handling, inventory, and revenue cycle while ensuring OSHA, Title X, and Medicaid/Medicare compliance. You’ll also drive patient experience and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, public health, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive supervisory/management experience in ambulatory care.
• Experience leading teams of 5–10 employees and overseeing day-to-day clinical operations.
• Current CPR certification, valid driver's license, reliable transportation.
• Preferred: experience in reproductive health or family planning.

We need a highly engaged, accessible leader to guide the daily success of our Owings Mills health center, empowering your staff so they can focus on delivering affordable, high-quality care to our patients. Inside the Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, you will oversee all aspects of operations at one of our smaller health centers. You will serve as an active, hands-on leader ensuring that patient care, education, counseling, and medical services are consistently delivered with an uncompromising focus on excellent customer service.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

Lead and develop your team: Direct and coach a staff of 5 to 10 employees, fostering an inclusive, high-morale working environment while holding the team accountable to performance standards.

Drive operational and financial excellence: Seamlessly manage patient and staff schedules, daily cash balancing, inventory, and revenue cycle goals. You will also ensure your center maintains strict compliance with OSHA, Title X, and Medicaid/Medicare regulations.

Champion the patient experience: Act as the health center's customer service subject matter expert by monitoring patient surveys, providing service recovery when needed, and maintaining a positive environment of care.

Build community connections: Collaborate with the Community Outreach and Education team to analyze local demographics, coordinate outreach services, and positively represent Planned Parenthood in your area.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive supervisory or management experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams of 5 to 10 employees and managing day-to-day clinical operations (e.g., patient flow, scheduling, quality assurance, electronic health records).
• Current CPR Certification, a valid motor vehicle operator’s license, and reliable transportation (ability to occasionally travel to other centers is required).
• Preferred: Previous experience working in a clinical support role (such as a Medical Assistant, LPN, RN, or Surgical Tech) or management experience in reproductive health, OB/GYN, or family planning.
