Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP’s Health Care practice seeks an associate with strong regulatory experience to join our national team. The role focuses on health care regulatory matters across a broad client base, including health systems, health plans, and life sciences companies.

You will also engage in regulatory due diligence and transaction support. The candidate should have 3–6 years of related experience, excellent communication, and a strong grounding in regulatory policy and industry

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant health care legal experience, with a strong foundation in health care regulatory matters.
• Experience advising health care organizations on regulatory and compliance issues such as fraud and abuse, licensure, and value-based care.
• Experience supporting health care transactions through regulatory counseling, due diligence, structuring, or related work.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on federal and state fraud and abuse requirements.
• Address state licensure, scope of practice issues, and telehealth.
• Navigate corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting requirements.
• Provide guidance on value-based care arrangements and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.
• Assess digital health and regulatory considerations for health care tech.
