Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a highly qualified associate with strong health care regulatory experience to join our Health Care practice in Washington, DC.

The successful candidate will analyze federal and state regulatory matters, advise health care organizations, and contribute to regulatory due diligence for transactions. This role offers exposure to complex regulatory matters and strategic health care matters across a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant health care regulatory experience.
• Experience advising health care organizations on regulatory and compliance issues, such as fraud and abuse, licensure, corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting requirements, value-based care, or health care antitrust.
• Experience supporting health care transactions through regulatory counseling, due diligence, structuring, or related work.
• Strong interest in health care policy, regulation, business models, and industry trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• The ability to analyze complex regulatory questions and translate them into clear, practical guidance.
• Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
• A collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach to client service.
• Active bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction in which the candidate will practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach

Responsibilities
