Position Overview

The Manager of Compliance will lead compliance staff and activities, ensuring that OCHIN’s compliance program meets organizational and member needs.

This individual will have leadership experience and advanced knowledge of healthcare compliance. They will collaborate with senior leaders and teams across the organization and should be well-organized, flexible, adaptable, and resourceful. The position reports to the Director, Member & Operational Excellence.

Essential Duties

Team Management

  • Lead, motivate, develop, and support the team to achieve results.
  • Provide supervision and support to staff, including regular team meetings and 1:1 check-ins.
  • Communicate and implement OCHIN’s strategy.
  • Manage staff performance according to organizational policies.
  • Offer coaching and mentorship to help team members reach their potential.
  • Promote diversity by identifying and developing emerging leaders.

Compliance

  • Oversee investigations related to compliance and privacy, audits, remediation, and data loss prevention.
  • Develop and maintain departmental procedures and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor responsiveness to customer service tickets.
  • Collaborate with organizational leaders.
  • Resolve compliance escalations.
  • Educate leaders and staff on compliance and privacy policies.
  • Review and contribute to contracts related to compliance.
  • Support annual compliance training for staff.
  • Address compliance-related customer service tickets.
  • Assist with compliance trainings for customers.
  • Research state and federal regulatory requirements affecting members.
  • Support projects ensuring member compliance with regulations.
  • Present updates on regulatory and compliance matters to members.
  • Coordinate the Business Continuity Access program to ensure member compliance.
  • Manage HIM functions, such as patient chart corrections and clinical data abstraction.
  • Support regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and public health surveillance.

Projects

  • Ensure projects comply with regulations governing human subject research.
  • Support compliance with Federal Wise Assurance related to human research protections.
  • Oversee risk assessments and audits.
  • Monitor training requirements for research staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
