Job summary

Carepool is seeking drivers to help individuals with special needs, developmental disabilities, or aging populations integrate into society. Drive your own vehicle to scheduled rides, build trusting relationships, and partner with other drivers to cover shifts as needed.

You can work full-time or part-time, with training and tutorials available. This role emphasizes safety, compassionate interaction, and reliable, flexible scheduling similar to ride-sharing models.

Qualifications

• Must have a 100% clean driving record; minor tickets allowed every 2–5 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have 5+ years of driving experience.
• Healthcare experience and 1 year of professional driving preferred.
• Ability to work full time or part time and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Drive clients using your own vehicle to scheduled rides.
• Coordinate with other drivers to cover shifts when needed.
• Provide safe, respectful assistance to individuals needing special support.

This works in a similar fashion to driving Uber, but some riders are scheduled as the same on a daily or weekly basis. Partner with other drivers to cover shifts when needed.

Who are we looking for?

• Who are willing to use own vehicle to earn
• Who can drive a vehicle skillfully and safely
• A person who can deal effectively with disabled individuals and others who needs special assistance
• Has techniques for dealing with different personalities
• Can understand and follow oral and written directions
• Who can work full time or part time
• Has 100% clean driving record (minus a minor ticket or two, every 2-5 years) is required
• Must be at least 21 yrs. old and have over 5 years of driving experience
• Has healthcare specific experience and 1-year Professional Driving is preferred.
