Job summary

Carepool in Madison, WI seeks compassionate drivers to help individuals with special needs, developmental disabilities or the aging population access services and participate more fully in daily life. You’ll use your own vehicle to earn and decide when, where and how often you drive.

Join a program that offers scheduling flexibility, safety training, and opportunities to partner with other drivers for shifts while building trust-based relationships with riders.

Qualifications

• Must use own vehicle and be willing to earn through rides.
• Able to drive safely and handle diverse individuals.
• 21+ years old with 5+ years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive riders safely in own vehicle for scheduled or on-demand trips.
• Follow schedules and coordinate with riders and Carepool team.
• Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor with all riders.

This works in a similar fashion to driving Uber, but some riders are scheduled as the same on a daily or weekly basis. Partner with other drivers to cover shifts when needed.

Who are we looking for?

• Who are willing to use own vehicle to earn
• Who can drive a vehicle skillfully and safely
• A person who can deal effectively with disabled individuals and others who needs special assistance
• Has techniques for dealing with different personalities
• Can understand and follow oral and written directions
• Who can work full time or part time
• Has 100% clean driving record (minus a minor ticket or two, every 2-5 years) is required
• Must be at least 21 yrs. old and have over 5 years of driving experience
• Has healthcare specific experience and 1-year Professional Driving is preferred.
