Job summary

Marsh is seeking a talented student to join its Health and Benefits Actuarial and Financial Group as a summer intern. The role is based in Marsh’s southeast market and follows a hybrid model requiring at least three days in the office.

We will count on you to perform analyst-like tasks, analyze health care data, and assist in client communications and pricing design using Marsh tools and models.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, engineering or related fields.
• Status as a currently enrolled student with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Record of top academic achievement (GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher).
• Commitment to SOA designation.
• Legal U.S. work authorization on a permanent basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform responsibilities comparable to full-time analysts with 1:1 support from experienced colleagues.
• Analyze health care data using spreadsheet and database tools.
• Assist in developing client communications, proposals, reports, and presentations.
• Run basic cost projections using client data and Marsh valuation model.
• Price medical and prescription drug plan designs using Marsh tools.
• Contribute to customized pricing via scenario modeling to meet employer targets.
• Develop underwriting and actuarial skills while learning plan design and cost factors.
• Work in a fast-paced consulting environment with colleagues at all levels.
