Job summary

Marsh People and Investments Health & Benefits Actuarial and Financial Group (AFG) is seeking a motivated analyst to support health benefits pricing, data analysis, and client communications. This hybrid role requires in-office presence in SF, LA, Irvine, or Denver, with at least three days per week in the office.

You will work with experienced colleagues to analyze healthcare data, develop cost projections, and contribute to pricing and plan design scenarios while building foundational

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and quantitative mindset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Advanced programming skills are a plus: R, Python, SAS, SQL
• Knowledge of data analysis, project management, and presentation design

Responsibilities

• Perform responsibilities comparable to full-time analysts with support from experienced colleagues
• Complete comprehensive analysis of health care data using spreadsheet and database management software
• Assist in the development of client communications, proposals, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
• Perform basic cost projections using client cost and enrollment data with valuation models
• Price medical and prescription drug plan designs using proprietary tools
• Assist in the development of customized pricing through alternate scenario modeling of plan designs, programs, and/or employee contributions to meet employers’ financial targets
• Develop basic underwriting and actuarial skills as you build an awareness of health care plan design, cost factors, and numerous industry products, services, and tools
• Work in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic consulting environment with colleagues across all organizational levels
