Job summary

Aon is seeking a Health Analytics Data Engineering Team Leader in Atlanta, GA to lead a distributed data engineering team. This role involves translating business needs into scalable, cloud-first data solutions and ensuring high-quality delivery.

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the medallion US Health Analytics data architecture while driving results through strategic thinking and collaboration. A high-performing engineering culture is essential, supported by extensive qualifications in data engineering.

The position offers a hybrid office schedule, aligning with Aon's enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in data modeling, data architecture and scalable platform design.
• Capable of writing production software, but skilled at leveraging teams to deliver beyond individual effort.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end medallion US Health Analytics data architecture.
• Accountable for scaled structured data flows and data partner integrations.
• Partners closely with Aon Business Services and Data & Analytics engineering teams.

Skills

Team management experience in a global enterprise environment

Relevant experience in data engineering

Experience with Medallion architecture

Deep experience designing cloud-first data solutions

Strong software engineering capability

Expertise in data modeling and architecture

Experience with US commercial healthcare data

Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy

Experience leading distributed teams

Ability to translate business needs into technical roadmaps

Experience with AI-enabled workflows

Data governance experience

Education

Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant field
