Job summary

Charter One partners with American Leadership Academy in Gilbert North Elementary to recruit a Health Aide for our Gilbert campus. The role focuses on student health, first aid, medication administration, and health records management in a fast-paced school setting.

The ideal candidate has a CMA/EMT/CNA/LPN/RN preference, valid AZ IVP fingerprint card, and the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Card.
• Preferred CMA/EMT/CNA/LPN/RN.
• Ability to obtain necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic first aid and general care to students.
• Administers daily medications to students and maintains records.
• Reviews immunization records for state compliance.
• Assists with hearing and vision screening.
• Organizes health office by setting up student health files, emergency cards, medication logs, and substitute file.
• Compiles periodic and year end reports for state and district.
• Provides health education to teachers, parents and students as needed.
• Acts as liaison between teachers, parents, students and administrators.
• Working with students with special needs.
• Other related duties as assigned.

American Leadership Academy

is currently accepting applications for Health Aide for our Gilbert North Elementary campus located in the East Valley. Preferably a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA), or Registered Nurse (RN). Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain an AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides basic first aid and general care to students.
• Administers daily prescription and over the counter medications to students and maintains accurate records of medication given.
• Reviews student immunization records to ensure state compliance.
• Assists with hearing and vision screening.
• Organizes health office by setting up student health files, emergency cards, medication logs, and substitute file.
• Compiles periodic and year end reports for state and district.
• Provides health education to teachers, parents and students as needed.
• Acts as liaison between teachers, parents, students and administrators.
• Working with students with special needs.
• Other related duties as assigned.
