American Leadership Academy is currently accepting applications for a Transportation Aide. This role supports bus operations, assists special education students during transport, and enforces safety rules on and around buses.

CPR/First Aid and Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance are required, along with a valid driver’s license and willingness to have a driving record reviewed. Responsibilities include supervising students, communicating with district personnel, and assisting with post-trip

• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Current Driver's License and willingness to have driving record reviewed.

Responsabilidades

• Assist school bus driver while the bus is in operation and with emergencies and with bus evacuations
• Assist special education students during transport to include safe loading and unload from buses during normal and emergency transport
• Instruct special education students and/or other passengers in the rules and regulations to maintain safety on the school bus
• Monitor students on and/or around the buses to ensure the safety and welfare of the students
• Assist in the implementation of strategies to manage student behavior
• Report observations and incidents and communicate information to appropriate district personnel
• Secure students with safety equipment to ensure the safety and welfare of students
• Assist bus drivers in school bus post-trip checks; assist relief drivers with routines and route destinations
• Complete all required paperwork; attend all required meetings
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
• Regular and on-time attendance required
• Drive a van from time to time
• Other duties as assigned

American Leadership Academy is currently accepting applications for a Transportation Aide. Candidates must possess a valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card and CPR/First Aid Certification. Candidates must possess a current Driver's License and be willing to have driving record reviewed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist school bus driver while the bus is in operation and with emergencies and with bus evacuations
• Assist special education students during transport to include safe loading and unload from buses during normal and emergency transport
• Instruct special education students and/or other passengers in the rules and regulations to maintain safety on the school bus
• Monitor students on and/or around the buses to ensure the safety and welfare of the students
• Assist in the implementation of strategies to manage student behavior
• Report observations and incidents (i.e. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc) and communicate information to appropriate district personnel
• Secure students with safety equipment (i.e. safety vest, seat belts, wheelchairs and tie downs, car seats, etc) to ensure the safety and welfare of students
• Assist bus drivers in school bus post-trip checks; assist relief drivers with routines and route destinations
• Complete all required paperwork; attend all required meetings
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
• Regular and on-time attendance required
• Drive a van from time to time
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to meet time schedules
• Ability to work varying route assignments
• Physical ability to pull, push, reach, bend and walk
• Ability to work both AM & PM bus routes every weekday.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Van driving experience
• CPI Training
