Job summary

HIRECLOUT is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to own a headless storefront and internal business tools. You’ll work with a lean team on Shopify Hydrogen, React, and TypeScript, shaping product experiences and AI-powered solutions in a growing consumer tech company.

You’ll partner with Marketing, Growth, UX/UI, and Leadership to deliver high-impact features, aligned with a robust product roadmap. Hybrid LA-area work is supported with selective onsite days.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on full-stack software engineering experience within eCommerce environments.
• Strong production experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify Hydrogen/Oxygen or comparable headless Shopify architecture; demonstrated proficiency is more important than a specific number of years with Hydrogen.
• Strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including storefront architecture, APIs, integrations, and data flows.
• Experience implementing A/B testing and CRO initiatives.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into production applications.
• Working knowledge of RAG, embeddings, retrieval systems, and vector databases, with the ability to make sound implementation decisions.
• Active use of AI-assisted development tools as part of a real production engineering workflow.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions to non-engineering stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve a headless eCommerce storefront built with Shopify Hydrogen, React, and TypeScript, focusing on conversion and performance.
• Build and enhance Next.js applications supporting customer experiences and internal workflows.
• Drive A/B tests and CRO initiatives with measurable improvements.
• Architect and ship AI experiences, including conversational product recommendations via LLM APIs and vector databases.
• Transform qualitative feedback into actionable insights for product and customer experience teams.
• Develop internal tools and AI-powered workflows to boost efficiency across teams.
• Own integrations across the eCommerce ecosystem with APIs and webhooks.
