CarParts.com is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Engineer - AI Forward to join our Long Beach team. You will design and ship full-stack features across React/Next.js frontends and Node.js/Express microservices, while embedding AI capabilities into product experiences and automation.

You will collaborate on APIs, data models, and MCP-driven tools, delivering scalable, maintainable systems in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building scalable full-stack apps with React/Next.js and Node.js/Express.
• Strong TypeScript, REST API design, and OpenAPI specs.
• Solid SQL/NoSQL database knowledge and performance-minded thinking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own full-stack features across frontend and microservices.
• Build AI-powered experiences: search, recommendations, content generation, and commerce flows.
• Create agentic systems with planning, tool calls, and autonomous error handling.
• Implement and evolve MCP servers for ecommerce tools accessible to LLM clients.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions and contribute to code reviews and docs.
