Job summary

HIRECLOUT is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to own the software powering customer experiences and internal systems. You’ll work with a mature headless commerce environment and shape future product launches, AI experiences, and automation.

You’ll collaborate with teams across eCommerce, Growth, Creative, and Leadership to deliver high-impact features while maintaining fast delivery in a startup-like, high-ownership culture. This hybrid role is based in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on full-stack software engineering experience within eCommerce environments.
• Strong production experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify Hydrogen/Oxygen or comparable headless Shopify architecture.
• Strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including storefront architecture, APIs, integrations, and data flows.
• Experience implementing A/B testing and CRO initiatives.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into production applications.
• Working knowledge of RAG, embeddings, retrieval systems, and vector databases.
• Active use of AI-assisted development tools as part of production workflow.
• Strong communication skills with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve a headless eCommerce storefront built with Shopify Hydrogen, React, and TypeScript.
• Build and enhance Next.js applications supporting customer-facing experiences and internal workflows.
• Execute an established roadmap of A/B tests and CRO initiatives.
• Architect and ship customer-facing AI experiences, including conversational product recommendations via LLM APIs.
• Transform qualitative customer feedback into actionable insights.
• Build internal tools and AI-powered workflows to improve efficiency.
• Own integrations across eCommerce ecosystems, including APIs and webhooks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business priorities into production software.
• Make thoughtful architectural decisions for new products and experiences.
• Help establish the technical foundation, development practices, and modern tooling.
