Job summary

Mancan Staffing is seeking an experienced Header Operator for a manufacturing company in Girard, Ohio. This role involves setting up and operating Cold Heading Machines to form products to customer specifications with attention to quality and efficiency.

The position offers a starting pay of $17.00/hour and up based on experience, with a temp-to-hire pathway and a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with potential shift changes to 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM based on production needs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
Proficient in basic math.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing schedules.
Ability to perform regular heavy lifting, pushing and pulling.
Self-motivated and a collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate a variety of Cold Heading Machines to form products per specifications.
Operate multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining efficiency.
Make minor tooling adjustments and troubleshoot machine setup issues.
Identify nonconforming products and take corrective action.
Complete production reports and SPC documentation accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Communicate progress and issues with Floor Manager.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
