Job summary

Comcast in Michigan is seeking a field technician to install, test, operate, maintain and repair headend equipment across our cable network, performing quality control tests and logging results. You will conduct tests, support new installations, and help ensure dependable service for customers while working with safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of relevant telecom experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of relevant telecom work experience.
  • Prior telecom knowledge or experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing advanced headend maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure minimal system outages.
  • Assisting in the fault resolution of RF, IP and Digital Video networks.
  • Maintaining an inventory of required parts for headend and OTN projects.
  • Working within manufacturer's rated weight capacity for all equipment, including but not limited to ladders and aerial lifts.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
