Job summary

Ashland University in Ohio seeks a Head Women's Lacrosse Coach to lead all facets of the NCAA Division II program within the GMAC. You will recruit student-athletes, manage budget and travel, plan practices and games, and ensure compliance with NCAA and GMAC rules.

The role also involves mentoring academics, representing the department at events, and coordinating with campus partners to support student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to impart lacrosse fundamentals and techniques.
• Coaching/playing experience at high school or college level preferred.
• Identify and recruit student-athletes.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Budget management capability; weekends/evenings required.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Teach lacrosse technique and skill development to athletes.
• Instruct on health, team concepts, safety, and team building.
• Ensure NCAA and GMAC compliance and explain rules to players.
• Explain Ashland University's mission to student-athletes.
• Monitor sport budget, travel plans, and equipment purchases.
• Recruit potential student-athletes and meet roster requirements.
• Monitor academic progress and coordinate with campus partners.
• Plan and lead practices and games; develop game strategies.
• Direct scouting and supervise a graduate assistant coach.
