Job summary

CAP Services Inc. in New London, Wisconsin, is hiring for a classroom assistant responsible for supporting the Classroom Manager with developing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

The role offers starting pay of $17.10–$18.81 per hour, full-time (40 hours/week) with part-year status, and a benefits package including PTO, holidays, 401K (6% match), life insurance, and access to health, dental, vision and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development and one year of classroom experience with children ages 0-5.
• CDA credential or Registry Level 6 and two years of experience with children ages 0-5.

Job description

Duties: Responsible for assisting the Classroom Manager in preparing and conducting lesson plans which provide a developmentally age and stage appropriate curriculum, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices as outlined in the Program’s philosophy and Creative Curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two – year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development through a technical college and one year of classroom experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5.
• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or a Registry Level of 6 or greater and two years of experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5.

Must provide a copy of unofficial transcripts or certificate from the WI Registry or class.

Must be able to work effectively with multi-cultural children and families.
