Job summary

CAP Services is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator at the Children’s Discovery Center – Stevens Point, WI, starting as soon as possible. The role supervises children aged 6 weeks to 1 year and delivers a developmentally appropriate curriculum, with weekly lesson planning and ongoing assessments.

Starting pay is $18.98-$20.88 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include PTO, holidays, 401K (6% match), life insurance, and health, dental, vision, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Two year Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and one year of experience.
• Must obtain a Wisconsin Early Childhood Professional Recognition certificate within 3 months after assuming the position.
• Must obtain and maintain a current certificate of completion for infant and child CPR with AED within 2 months of hire.
• Certificate of completion of Abusive Head Trauma training prior to working at the center.

Duties: Responsible for the supervision of children, for preparing and conducting weekly lesson plans which provide a developmentally age and stage appropriate curriculum, for on-going assessment of children, and for maintaining compliance with all related regulations.Working with children ages 6 weeks to 1-year olds.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two year Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and one year of experience
• Must obtain a certificate from the registry of the Wisconsin Early Childhood Professional Recognition system within 3 months after assuming the position.
• Must obtain and maintain a current certificate of completion for infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation w/AED (CPR) within 2 months of hire.
• Certificate of completion of Abusive Head Trauma training prior to working at the center.
