Job summary

York County Community Action Corp. (YCCAC) Head Start seeks a Teacher to deliver high-quality early childhood education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The role focuses on family partnerships, planned development activities and a warm, supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Have a CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood (preferred) or related coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education.
• Have experience working with children in a center-based setting; prior experience working with families preferred
• Be willing to work flexible hours to meet families’ needs.
• Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
• Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.

• Planning, implementing and documenting a comprehensive child development program suitable for preschoolers.
• Building positive and supportive relationships with children and families
• Help coordinating the daily operations of the classroom
