Choosecolumbusga seeks a Substitute Teacher for the Early Head Start program to cover teacher absences and support regular staff in managing daily classroom activities. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience with infants and toddlers in childcare, with CDA or AA in ECE preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implements daily lesson plans and daily schedules.
• Organizes and maintains learning centers within the classroom.
• Maintains order using positive behavior management.
• Recruits volunteers and solicits in-kind contributions.
• Attends meetings, trainings and workshops as required.
• Maintains cleanliness of classrooms and adjoining restrooms.
• Acts as an advocate for the Head Start Program, families and children.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
