Job summary

Inspire Development Centers in Washington state is seeking a School Readiness Liaison to oversee Head Start classrooms, coordinating and taking leadership to achieve school readiness goals for each classroom in the center. The role requires ensuring daily operations and compliance with federal/state Head Start programs.

The incumbent will partner with Center Manager, teaching staff, ECE specialists, and families; provide onsite professional development and data-driven program improvements;

Qualifications

• AA Degree in ECE or 30 ECE related college credits and experience teaching infant/toddler and/or preschool children.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency.
• Extensive knowledge of child development theories and practices.
• Working knowledge in curriculum development and planning.
• Experience in federally funded and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement school readiness goals; coordinate kindergarten transition meetings; maintain communication with local School District.
• Provide onsite training to teaching staff on curriculum planning, child assessment, and program improvement; analyze data for child outcomes.
• Assist Center Manager in staffing and scheduling; ensure staff-child ratios are maintained.
• Provide feedback on staff performance; participate in center-level interviews; recommend classroom supplies and equipment.
• Conduct regular classroom observations to assess teacher skills; develop individual teacher plans.
• Identify resources to enhance teaching quality; aid staff in problem-solving.
• Build positive relationships with staff and home educators; foster culturally responsive practices.
• Maintain confidentiality of health records and participant information.
