Qualifications

• Interest in the well-being and education of young children.
• Prior experience with special needs children is a plus.
• Strong communication and listening abilities with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
• Willingness to obtain the 90-hour child care certification if not already held.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with instruction and activities.
• Support classroom routines, schedules, and transitions.
• Help ensure health, welfare, and safety of children in the program.
• Create an environment supporting social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development.
