Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida, Inc. is seeking a Mentor Coach to provide on-site coaching for Head Start teachers and assistants, conduct classroom observations, and deliver feedback to improve teacher-child interactions and school readiness.

You will analyze data from the CLASS tool and lead staff trainings to support continuous improvement, with a focus on culturally responsive practice. The role emphasizes planning, collaboration with supervisors, and ongoing professional development to uphold

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, a Social or Behavioral Science or Education with 18 semester hours in Early Childhood Education.
• Completion certificates for DAP 10 hours and 30-hour Introductory Child Care Training or 30-hour equivalent courses.
• Florida Driver License and eligibility for Florida Child Care Director Credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site coaching for Head Start teachers and teacher assistants.
• Observe classrooms, demonstrate lessons, and provide feedback to improve teacher-child interactions.
• Analyze child outcomes data and support staff development through trainings.
• Develop and update classroom programs for curriculum implementation and assessment.
• Coordinate meetings and trainings with supervisors and center staff.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with policies and regulations.

Education

Baccalaureate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field

Certificate of Completion: 10 hour Developmentally Appropriate Practices

Certificate of Completion: 30-hour Introductory Child Care Training

Certificate of Completion: 10-hour Special Needs Course

State of Florida Child Care and Education Program Director Credential or eligible

Possession of a valid Florida Driver License

Must be 21 years of age
