Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida, Inc. seeks a Preschool Mentor Coach to provide on-site coaching for Early Head Start and Head Start staff, conduct classroom observations, and deliver feedback to improve teacher-child interactions and school readiness.

The role involves analyzing CLASS data, supporting professional development, and designing trainings aligned with evidence-based practices. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (ECE preferred), relevant certifications, and a Florida driver license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with Early Childhood Education major and 18 credit hours in ECE.
• Completion of 10-hour DAP for Pre-Schoolers/Infant/Toddler course.
• 45 hours of Florida Child Care Facility Training within 12 months of hire.
• 10-hour Special Needs Course and Florida Director Credential eligibility; valid FL Driver License.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site coaching for Early Head Start/Head Start teachers and assistants.
• Conduct classroom observations and demonstration lessons with feedback.
• Analyze CLASS data and support staff professional development.
• Develop and update classroom programs for outcomes and curriculum.
• Coordinate and deliver staff trainings for continuous improvement.
