Hill Country Community Action Association, Inc. is seeking a Mental Health Aide for 28 hours to support designated children in a Head Start program. The aide will work under the Teacher/Director and coordinate with MH/Disability staff to implement behavior plans.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be at least 21, hold a valid Class C driver's license, and be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid within 90 days. Bilingual skills are encouraged.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to record data pertinent to Head Start Performance Standards.
• Must have a valid Class C Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days.
• No record of a conviction which would contraindicate employment.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Aufgaben

• Works closely with MH/Disability coordinator, school district, and/or mental health professional.
• Works with designated child who may have difficulty with classroom management.
• Diaper Changing.
• Completes monthly Aide Checklist.
• Works only when the child is present.
• Work hours may vary according to classroom needs.
• Center director supervises the Mental Health Aide's tasks.
