Job summary

Urban Strategies in Phoenix, AZ, is hiring an Infant & Toddler Teacher for the Early Head Start program. This full-time, non-exempt role supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and language development of infants and toddlers while encouraging parent involvement.

You will implement approved curriculum plans, adhere to Head Start standards, maintain a safe classroom and outdoor space, and collaborate with families and health and education staff.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or CDA in early childhood education with infant and toddler specialization.
• Minimum two (2) years recent paid successful experience as a preschool or infant/toddler teacher or caregiver.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid Driver’s License, Personal Vehicle, and Liability Insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Establish a healthy indoor/outdoor environment for children.
• Provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants and toddlers.
• Engage families to support child progress and home activities.
• Follow Head Start Performance Standards and safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure classroom readiness.
