Job summary

YWCA Metropolitan Chicago seeks a Health Manager to lead health, dental, and nutrition services for Head Start and related programs. You will supervise consultants, monitor sites, and drive data-driven improvements to support families and children.

You will collaborate with a leadership team to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, manage budgets, and promote best practices across center-based programs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in a public health or social service role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Health, Dental and Nutrition Consultants that provide expertise at partner locations.
• Monitor sites with health and nutrition consultant to ensure compliance with goals and expectations.
• Develop collaborations and training opportunities in each community served to assist families and improve access to services.
• Provide on-site training and technical assistance at sites as needed.
• Work with colleagues to develop systems and best practices for implementation at sites.
• Stay up-to-date on health changes affecting Head Start or PFAE requirements.
• Collaborate with medical/dental professionals to support each child’s health needs.
• Develop partnerships with local health systems to increase access to medical information.
• Present aggregated health data to highlight strengths and needs.
