Job summary

FM Talent Source seeks an experienced Lead Program Specialist to support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start.

You will advise federal staff, manage grants lifecycle, monitor performance, and engage stakeholders nationwide to improve outcomes for Head Start and Early Head Start programs. This is a high-impact, client-facing role contingent on contract award, with versatile travel and potential telework, and compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience supporting early childhood programs (Head Start preferred).
• Experience with federal grants management, lifecycle administration, program oversight, monitoring, and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize complex data and develop high-quality written deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end administration of federal grants, including application review, award processing, and post-award activities.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of grant recipient performance and identify risks and compliance issues.
• Provide technical assistance to improve performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support regional and national program initiatives and develop standardized procedures and training.
