Job summary

Guardians of Honor in the Southeast Region seeks an experienced Grants Management professional to support Head Start clients. The role involves overseeing multiple grant projects, mentoring staff, ensuring compliance with Head Start standards, and serving as a client liaison on federal contracts.

Travel to FL, GA, NC, SC, MD, VA, WV, DC, DE and Puerto Rico is required; onsite work at the Southeast Regional Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 5 years grants/casework experience with additional consideration for early childhood education (Head Start).
• At least 5 years grants management experience.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards required.
• Knowledge of Head Start Enterprise System, Aligned Monitoring System and Grant Solutions as a major distinguishing feature.
• PMP is a distinguishing feature.
• Strong data analytics skills and ability to present data to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across stakeholders.
• Ability to travel regionally to FL, GA, NC, SC, MD, VA, WV, DC, DE, and Puerto Rico.
• Ability to work onsite at the Southeast Regional Office.

Responsibilities

• Check-in with team members to ensure deliverables are on schedule.
• Mentor and train team members through initiatives.
• Lead process documentation and quality control efforts; provide feedback on deliverables.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and activities.
• Assign and oversee tasks by grants resources and deliver as a team.
• Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Serve as POC for federal clients with clear communication.
• Develop SOPs and QC procedures and update for efficiency.
• Contribute to client progress and status reports with the PM.
• Attend client meetings to overview tasks and progress; document actions.
• Draft new project timelines and kick-off agendas; maintain plans.
• Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
• Provide management and technical direction for grants tasks (funding, reviews, changes).
• Liaise with federal staff to support timely review and award and post-award activities.
• Assist with monitoring activities including site visits and desk reviews.
• Provide regulatory and policy guidance to Head Start programs.
