Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska seeks a Family Service Assistant / Site Supervisor for an Head Start program in Minden. The role links families with community resources, supports center staff, and collaborates with teachers to promote child well‑being.

Responsibilities include recruiting families, maintaining enrollments, ensuring timely screenings, and coordinating health and family services. A High School Diploma or GED is required; related certifications and experience are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Family Services Certification preferred.
• AA or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Services preferred; experience in early childhood/health/social services valued.
• Strong communication, teamwork and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Recruit eligible families, maintain wait list, and generate enrollment letters.
• Ensure screenings (behavioral, health, vision, dental, etc.) are completed within deadlines.
• Provide information to families about community events and resources; refer families to community services.
• Maintain open communication with families and engage in Head Start activities.
• Submit paperwork in an organized, timely manner and participate in meetings and home visits.
