The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska Head Start and Early Head Start seeks an Associate Teacher to support developmentally appropriate education for young children in a family-focused program that aligns with Federal Head Start Performance Standards. The role emphasizes collaborative planning with lead teachers and a commitment to healthy, inclusive classroom practices.

You will assist with observation and documentation of child progress, help implement age-appropriate activities, manage mealtime

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred CDA credential and/or associate's degree.
• Two years of early childhood experience in a center-based setting is preferred.

Mansioni

• Work from 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Notify supervisor by 6:45 AM if unable to work.
• Demonstrate the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska Head Start and Early Head Start's core mission, vision, and values.
• Maintain boundaries and perform all duties in an ethical and professional manner.
• Compliance with confidentiality regulations as required.
• Assist in observing, assessing, and documenting each child's skills, behavior, growth, and development.
• Assist in providing opportunities for children to experience success and increase their self-confidence.
• Assist in developing individualized educational plans for each child.
• Provide information to Lead Teacher/Education Coordinator/ESU Team to aid referrals for children with special needs.
• Build positive relationships with all children and families in the classroom.
• Conduct mealtimes in a family-style dining setting and involve toddlers in self-help and independence tasks.
