Delta Health Alliance Head Start in the United States seeks a Family Service Coordinator to facilitate services for families within a Head Start program. The role entails documentation, ongoing monitoring, and coordination of family services in alignment with program standards.

Qualifying candidates will have a 4-year degree in a relevant field, strong oral and written communication, and knowledge of local resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline: Social Work, Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of local community resources.

Responsabilités

• Understand Head Start Performance Standards, CFOC and local childcare licensing regulations.
• Recruit children ages 6 weeks-5 years, including children with disabilities and underserved populations.
• Maintain enrollment levels per ERSEA requirements.
• Provide follow-up for absent children and chronic absenteeism.
• Identify family risk and protective factors; complete Family Needs Assessments and Family Partnership Agreements.
• Provide referrals and follow-up, promote Delta Health Alliance Head Start in the community.
• Attend workshops, staff meetings and parent meetings; orient families to the program.
• Conduct home visits, facilitate parental involvement and implement a parenting curriculum.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate data entry into the ChildPlus system.
• Complete weekly and monthly reports and maintain health plans for children with chronic issues.
• Coordinate with families to access community resources and transitioning to other educational settings.
